I'll overwhelm 'credible boxer' Paul - Anthony Joshua
Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-bout contest which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" the American and "overpower" his opponent as the two fighters confronted each other to publicize next month's bout.
Ex two-time world title holder Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth disparity - at Miami's venue on 19 December.
Boxer's Mentality
"I will break his face and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, stated.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I'm going to seriously aim to hurt him. That's what I want to do."
Civil Interaction
In spite of such comments, a calm Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually recognized for his dramatics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul instead attacked ex Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "not serious" after Ngannou turned down a fight offer.
Targeting Fury
Joshua, at the same time, criticized UK rival Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul win.
"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer commented.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Opponent
Despite stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to talk badly about his rival's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he remarked.
Jake Paul's History
Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.
He lost to Briton Fury in 2023.
Financial Success
Nevertheless, the novice remains one of the sport's largest money-making draws, consistently making substantial earnings.
Forecast and Belief
The 28-year-old predicted a stoppage in rounds four or five and stated he would stop the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly in the works for two years from now.
"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.
Size Disparity
As the two fighters engaged in the usual face-off, with their size difference clearly visible, it drove home just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the match is truly proceeding.
